Acclaimed rock and jazz-fusion guitarist Tony MacAlpine and his band were the victim of thieves in Austin, Texas, and now the musicians are putting out the word to try and get their gear back.
MacAlpine has been a guitar legend since his 1986 album Edge Of Insanity, made with bassist Billy Sheehan and former Journey drummer Steve Smith. MacAlpine has also played with fellow legend Steve Vai, and has recorded and toured constantly for nearly 30 years.
On their Facebook page, the band posted details of what was stolen. Anyone with information should post here. The band’s message reads as follows:
